It is amazing what goes over our heads when we were kids. I asked my little sister (when she was 9) what she thought about this particular scene and she said that bugs creep her out and it bothered her that Frollo didn’t put the tile back correctly. What she and kids her age missed was the implication of squishing the bugs. Frollo is implying that he wants to squish all the gypsies (bugs) in the Court of Miracles. That is genocide, attempting to kill off and entire race. Though Frollo never gets far in the plan the original intent is still there. In a kids movie. I applaud Disney for for their balls and successfully getting away with this.
